Nidhi Jacob a Real Time Hero who worked in an NGO, and it could be the best part of the life to teach the underprivileged kids with various art forms. Well, she seems to do her duty well by serving our society to reach in the good books of goodwill and she has created one already. We salute her for the tremendous effort that’s seen when she teaches the children.
“Apart from art, I used to involve myself in social services which made me work for an NGO. It was our duty to teach underprivileged people a skill which would help them in their life. Once, there was a kid in my session who loved and raised a little flower on a plant growing nearby – her precious possession ever. The session went very well and during my last visit, she plucked the tiny flower out from the plant and presented it to me. It might just be a flower to anyone else but for me and the kid, it was something totally different. For the child, it was her most valued possession and for me, it was a great lesson. That’s when I realized that we all should be ready to let go of some things to make others happy even if it mattered the most to us. There is something special in giving away things that have your heart and soul in it’s making. I like to communicate through my works and this one over here helped me know how many people really cared for me. I had to make 15,376 paper fans and iron meshes by hand and the people I counted on for help actually walked away and the unexpected ones – my family, my friends and their families, helped me accomplish this. I just have to say that there is a lot to discover about life and being selfless.”
